Students and advisors work collaboratively, as partners, throughout the process of accomplishing students’ personal, academic and career goals. Psychology undergraduate students are encouraged to connect with their assigned Academic Success Coordinator as needed through emails and appointments. All psychology students can meet with any advisor during drop-ins.

As a student your responsibilities are to: track your progress towards graduation by checking your DARS (degree progress audit) regularly, complete your degree, proactively seek assistance from advisors after attempting to obtain the information on your own first (through DARS, Canvas, general catalog, website, Psychology social media, and the CSU website), remain up-to-date with Psychology curriculum information, and interact with faculty.

CSU Students Who Wish to Change Their Major to Psychology
To change (or explore the option of changing) your major to Psychology, you must schedule a Psychology Major Information Session with an advisor here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904084BAFAC23A3FF2-50444088-psychology. Attending this session is required to make the switch. Questions will be answered during the session and the advisor will give you course recommendations and your advising code if applicable. Advisors will not be available to meet with you prior to this session, but you are encouraged to review Psychology course requirements on the CSU Catalog and make plans for your schedule/graduation plan accordingly.

Registering for Classes
It is highly recommended that all psychology majors meet with an academic advisor to update check sheets and to make sure graduation requirements are being met. Students may register for classes by accessing RamWeb. Students also can use RamWeb to check for your registration date, holds, etc.

No, Psychology does not offer a minor. However, the Psychology department offers a variety of courses available to non-majors, which may be used as elective credits.
Yes. If you are currently a Psychology student and would like to learn more about changing your major or adding Psychology as a double major, please attend one of our Psychology Major Information sessions (using the button above titled Signup for a Psychology Major Information Session). If you are already a Psychology major and want to add a second major in another department, contact that department to inquire about their process for adding a second major.

Repeat Repair, formerly Repeat Delete, allows undergraduate students to repeat a course and have the grade entered the first time the course was taken removed from their GPA calculation.
